  • APOPHENIA

•   Psychological phenomenon of seeing meaningful patterns in randomness

•   Allow others to discern and develop a subjective interpretation
•    Find clarity in ambiguity



  • GESTALT THEORY

•    The whole of anything is greater than its part

•    6 principles: similarity, continuation, closure, proximity, figure/ground, and symmetry/order



  • IRENE VAN NES - DYNAMIC IDENTITIES (2012)

•    6 components to an identity: logo, color, typography, graphic elements, imagery, and language

•    Logo as a “container” that can constantly change its content



  • MYSELF

•    How can this logo best reflect myself – both as a person and my work?
•    Personality: straightforward, honest, introvert

•    Work: clean, minimal, monochromatic
